Camp Reflection: Kokako Acrostic Poem

Task Eleven:  Kokako Acrostic Poem

Task Instructions:
Create an acrostic poem for the words “Kokako Lodge”
Begin by listing the letters down the page like this: (yes, you can copy and paste!)

Kind instructors that respect us and others.
Our respect cant stop any others
Kindly getting people across the river
Arranging dinner
Clinging my fork waiting for dinner
Open wide its dinner time

Liking the weather
Oh how many times I tried to get the yellow in archery
Does Not seem like its raining
Get down here comes the rain
Echoing forest confuses my mind

And then begin writing phrases that start with each letter.  For example:
K = Kind instructors, helping us to build our confidence.
O = Oh so many times I tried aiming for the balloon in archery!
...etc, etc...

Camp Reflection: Rap About Camp

RAP

Room 8 went on camp about a week ago, week ago,
We all had some fun and we went along, went along
We didn't know what to do and then the instructors come they taught  us everything they got so (lets pick up the beat lets go lets go)

Now everything I say is always related to camp
and everyone's like why you talk so fast
You cant stop me i'm like lightning fast I do most the activities and ill leave out one hand
My favourite activity is Abseiling the most but the one thing I got is the guts go
I ain't like you i'm not scared of the start but when you make your way down you're not scared that much
But me I'm different I aint scared of the start the thing i'm scared about is being unsafe (really safe)
The raps gonna end when you open your mouth cause the only thing you got is damn i'm out

yellow beats holla at me
we went to kokako lodge
we work hard all day and long (day and long)

We were getting ready for activities
so we can make more of our memories (memories

We were wondering what abseiling was
it was just like rock climbing ( rock climbing )

And then we went into the kayaks ( Kayaks )

and then we looked onto the sidetracks ( sidetracks )

we seen room 7 cheering on for us, but that doesn't mean were giving up ( giving up)

Camp Reflection: Shield.

Today me and Brodie chose to do the shield and the words will explain what the picture represents.

Why We Should Care About E-waste Brooklyn/TJ

Why Should We Care About E-Waste

Introduction
Hi there today we are going to tell you why we care about E-waste and they destroyers in Ghana, Africa and Guiyu, China. Today we are also going to tell you the affects to the destroyers and how we can help them.

Paragraph 1
I think we should care because the destroyers in Ghana, Africa and Guiyu, China need more  protection of their rights because their getting sicker and sicker every day. Possibly more than 10 to 20 electronic waste destroyers are dying and they need our support so they can live.

Paragraph 2
I think we should care about the destroyers because there taking up their own life just for 1.50$. We all know thats a rip off price to be doing a days work and I think we should take matters into our hands try make it a 150$ instead of 1.50$. If they don’t want to help these people and

Paragraph 3
I think we should care because its ruining the community and the people around the community. When the devices that are old or has something wrong the take it to a e-waste factory or bin then people pick up the rubbish and they send it to Ghana and Guiyu. When the e-waste container boat arrives to the continent they take it to the destroyers so they can there job.

Paragraph 4
What the destroyer do and how the toxics stuff this is contained inside of the devices are released after they break it. How the toxic stuff inside of the devices are actually released is when they burn it. When the devices are burning the gas and toxic stuff are drifting with the smoke and the smoke blows into the people’s face. This gives you a hint how the people get sick and sicker and its because the smoke that is formed from the burning devices contain toxic gases.

Conclusion
This is why we care and want to help them so they can survive and have a normal long life. If you want to help then stop wasting money on electronic devices or if it breaks then don’t throw it in the bin. Here’s an idea use the broken electronics for parts but if you really want to help and if you feel sorry for these people then here’s a idea. We think that companies that sell electronic devices should contain less toxic gases in their devices.

SO THIS IS WHY WE SHOULD CARE ABOUT E-WASTE

Geometry - Tetrahedron Construction Complete Review

Today we were on our constructing phase of our tetrahedron task. First what we had to do was make 1 equilateral triangle on a big piece of cardboard. Then we had to cut it out of the piece of cardboard. Then we had to make a net to form our tetrahedron. Once we had made our net on our A3 piece of paper using the cardboard triangle we then cut our net out. After we cut the net out we then started forming our tetrahedron. As you already know above there is my completed 3-D tetrahedron.
